Monique Myatt Galloway, Corresponding Secretary

Monique Myatt Galloway is an associate in DLA Piper's Litigation group in Philadelphia. Ms. Galloway focuses her practice on complex commercial, toxic tort and product liability litigation. Additionally, Ms. Galloway has substantial experience in contract, fraud and construction litigation. She is also versed in bankruptcy matters and labor law disputes. Ms. Galloway began her legal career with the Department of the Navy, Office of General Counsel, Navy Litigation Office, where she was soon promoted to Senior Trial Attorney, litigating only matters that exceeded $1 million in controversy before the United States Court of Federal Claims and the Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals as first and second chair. She joined DLA Piper in October 2010, following a federal clerkship with the Honorable Cynthia M. Rufe, District Judge, Eastern District of Pennsylvania. While in law school, Ms. Galloway served as managing editor of the Thurgood Marshall Law Review and graduated in 2003 with cum laude honors. Five years later, she also earned an LL.M. in trial advocacy from Temple University. Ms. Galloway is a Board Member of the Public Interest Law Center of Philadelphia, and currently serves the Philadelphia Barristers' Association as its Corresponding Secretary. In addition to her service in the legal community, Ms. Galloway is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Omega Omega Chapter, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
