Kevin V. Mincey is a Partner at Moody, Shields, Mincey & Fitzpatrick. Mr. Mincey has had a number of successes, focusing his practice on criminal defense while also handling personal injury, election law and civil rights litigation.  Mr. Mincey’s work in the courtroom as a trial lawyer has established him as a sought after court commentator on television.  He has appeared on Court TV’s “Closing Arguments with Nancy Grace” and later served on multiple occasions as a guest commentator on “Nancy Grace” which airs each night on CNN’s Headline News.

Mr. Mincey received his law degree from Howard University School of Law in 2002.  He began his career as a prosecutor with the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office where he served the community prosecuting hundreds of cases before leaving the office in 2005 to start his own firm.  While working at the District Attorney’s Office Mr. Mincey served as a mentor to young attorneys and was a member of the hiring committee. Mr. Mincey received his undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice graduating magna cum laude from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.

Mr. Mincey is a member of the National Bar Association (NBA) which is the oldest and largest association of African American lawyers and judges in the country.  He has served the NBA as the Deputy Director and as the Regional Director of Region 3 (an area that covers PA, NJ, & Delaware).  Mr. Mincey is also President of the Barristers Association of Philadelphia.  Additionally Mr. Mincey serves as Chair of Criminal Justice Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association and is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated.
