Jahlee J. Hatchett
Jahlee J. Hatchett is an Assistant District Attorney at the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office. As a prosecutor, Mr. Hatchett handles all aspects of criminal law from pre-trial investigation through disposition. This includes single-handedly handling hundreds of bench trials, pre-trial motions and more than twenty-five jury trials ranging from Attempted Murder, Aggravated Assault, Robbery, Burglary, Firearm and Drug Offenses. Recently, Mr. Hatchett has been selected to serve in the elite Special Investigations Unit of the District Attorney’s Office. In that capacity, he is responsible for conducting long term investigations into allegations of misconduct involving city employees and officials with the use of an investigating grand jury.
Mr. Hatchett graduated from Widener University School of Law in 2012. In law school, Mr. Hatchett participated in the National Black Law Student Association; Alternative Dispute Resolution Society and the 2011-2012 Thurgood Marshall Mock Trial Competition where his team won first place in the regional event. Prior to law school, Mr. Hatchett attended Temple University where received his BA in Criminal Justice and earned the honors of being a Russell Conwell Award Recipient.
