ARTICLE I - NAME AND PURPOSE
Section 1-01. Name.
The name of the corporation is The Barristers' Association of Philadelphia, Inc. (the "Association ").
Section 1-02. Purposes.
The purposes of the Association, as stated in its Amended and Restated Articles of Incorporation, are as follows: (i) to engage in and to do any lawful act concerning any or all purposes for which corporations may be incorporated under the Pennsylvania Nonprofit Corporation Law of 1988, and any subsequent amendments thereto, including, without limiting the generality of the foregoing, serving the African-American legal profession and the African-American community by promoting and fostering (i) professional and practice development and excellence; (ii) economic and political empowerment; (iii) charitable and community service; and (iv) justice and equal opportunity.
