Charles M. Gibbsis a zealous trial attorney having appeared in federal and state courts on behalf of governmental entities, individuals wrongly injured by the negligence of others, individuals charged with crimes, and nonprofit organizations. Charles prides himself on being a fierce trial attorney and a trusted advocate.

Mr. Gibbs’ career has also taken him into local judiciary and government positions. Prior to becoming an attorney, Charles worked on and managed numerous campaigns in Philadelphia. As an attorney, Charles has turned his political acumen into a practicing area, creating the Political Law practice group at the Green, Schafle & Gibbs, LLC. Charles has been acknowledged by his peers and the media as a noted election attorney in Philadelphia. Charles currently serves as the Solicitor of Darby and Yeadon Boroughs.

A graduate of Temple University, Mr. Gibbs earned his J.D. cum laude from Widener University School of Law, where he served as Vice President for the Moot Court Honor Society and President of the Black Law Students Association.

Mr. Gibbs’ dedication to his clients has earned him numerous awards and accolades. Most recently, Charles was named as one of the Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 and as a “Keeper” by Leadership Philadelphia, recognized as “Lawyer on the Fast Track” by the Philadelphia Legal Intelligencer, included on the Rising Stars List for the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers® publication and for years 2012-2016 and inducted into the West Catholic High School Hall of Fame. In 2014, he was named “Outstanding Young Lawyer” by the Barristers’ Association of Philadelphia.
An active member of his local community, Charles serves as the co-chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s City Policy Committee and Charles also serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees for a charter high school. Charles is married to Monica Gibbs, Esq., and the proud father of Charleston.
