Salena Jones is the Deputy District Attorney of Diversionary Programs at the Delaware County District Attorney’s Office, and is responsible for managing Problem Solving Courts and other diversionary programs on behalf of the DA’s Office.
Before joining the Delaware County DA’s Office, Ms. Jones was General Counsel at the Philadelphia City Controller’s Office, and prior to that held several leadership roles at the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, including East Division Chief, Community Engagement Chief, and Chair of the Hate Crimes Task Force. She is a past President of the National Black Prosecutor’s Southeast Pennsylvania Chapter (2017-2018).
Born and raised in North Philadelphia, Ms. Jones was educated in the Philadelphia public school system, and then attended the University of Pennsylvania where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in psychology. While working fulltime as a Juvenile Probation Officer, Ms. Jones later earned a Master of Arts in Bilingual/Bicultural Studies from LaSalle University, followed by a Juris Doctorate from Temple University in 2010.
