Sherrell L. Dandy is an Assistant Supervisor of the Homicide and Non-Fatal Shooting Unit. Sherrell is a graduate of Ursinus College and the Thomas R. Kline School of Law at Drexel University where she received awards for excellency in trial advocacy. Sherrell worked as an Assistant District Attorney from 2010-2104. During that time, Sherrell was assigned to the Southwest Division and prosecuted various felony crimes.
In 2014, Sherrell began working as an associate at the law firm, Marks O’Neill, O’Brien, Doherty & Kelly where she handled complex professional liability and employment discrimination cases. In 2017, Sherrell began working as an Assistant United States Attorney at the United States Attorney’s Office, Western District of Virginia, where she prosecuted a wide variety of federal crimes. In 2018, Sherrell returned to the Philadelphia, returning to the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office. She has been assigned to the homicide unit and Assistant Supervisor of the Major Trials Unit. She now has a small caseload of homicide cases that she prosecutes in addition to supervising the Homicide and Non-Fatal Shooting Unit.
Sherrell is also an adjunct professor at the Thomas R. Kline School of Law, were she teaches Introduction to Trial Advocacy.
